Saint George The Great Martyr, Handpainted icon

Hand painted icon of Saint George Martyrmade made with aluminium.

All stages of icon production are handmade. Made according to the ancient Byzantine technique.

All materials used by our workshop for writing icons are natural and eco-friendly.

The icon was created on a linden board. The board is covered with chalk gesso, a relief created using rabbit glue and chalk. Plated with aluminium. The composition itself is made with egg tempera.

The icon created in style of a XVI. century byzantine school, and plated with aluminium in such way the icon looks more unique and archaic.
